History

At the beginning of the 1990s, already fully trained as a shoemaker, Jens Zapke came to Düsseldorf from the former East Germany, and in 1995 founded his own workshop – in the beginning, only 12 square meters in size. As a self-employed craftsman he came to learn what a truly good shoe involves and increasingly focused on the work required for their manufacture and repair.

A few years ago he moved his store to the significantly larger shop on Bismarkstrasse. There, Jens Zapke works with renowned firms such as Ludwig Reiter and the leather producer Rendenbach.
